Not sure what mine is but it corresponds to expectation based on age.
What I did want to register here is that I'm going to ask if there is a later version at my service this week because the CD has a few oddities. I've hardly put a CD in over the year I've had it but now find it is less than perfect.
It does not seem to recognise breaks/gaps correctly. For instance, continous tracks have a one second gap inserted, and a track that has a 10 second (or thereabouts) gap truncates that to one second.

I just got referred to this thread after having posted a question re how my usb port seems to function. I don't know my version as I never knew how to check it until reading this thread, so I will check it in the next day or so and post.
Out of curiosity do any of your decks behave like mine do as these are the two issues that are frustrating me:
a) if I'm playing tracks through the usb (ipod shuffle in my case, 1st gen) and stop the car, when I restart, the usb always starts from the beginning rather than where I left off
b) if I have been listening to the radio and stop the car, when I restart, the deck always defaults to the usb and starts playing the ipod shuffle (after a second or two of the radio)
I would love it if these two things can be fixed.
Finally, has any Aussie had any luck getting a dealer to update their software version? Is this something they can do?

My i30's audio firmware version - SLX built October 2009. A-200FDR S/W: V1.02.AUS EEPROM: FD20EG4M I've noticed a little quirk when connecting my iPhone to the system, it all works as an ipod and it is fine, however, if I am using the "RDM" randomiser of the car to shuffle my library of songs and I stop the car, turn it off and get out, then get back in and start up the car and drive off, it will resume the song and position in minutes and seconds that was playing before, but it *stops* randomising the library. It also makes no difference whether the phone is disconnected and then reconnected in between ignition starts/stops... I asked about whether there was an audio system firmware upgrade available when I took the car in for its first 1000k service last week, but was told that there were no firmwares available and if they were, they'd only be for the engine/transmission computer and not for the audio system... oh well.

Has anyone from any country had success in getting an audio firmware upgrade from their dealer?

Hello FixedR6, interesting that your firmware seems slightly newer than mine. I wonder if they'll upgrade mine at the next service....
cheers.

I have the 1.00AUS version and just got my car serviced in Brisbane, Australia. I was hoping there was something they could do to upgrade the software as my USB functionality does not seem as intuitive as others have described theirs, e.g. after leaving the car and returning mine always defaults to what is plugged into the USB socket and also to the beginning of the USB playlist. This happens even if the last thing I was listening to was the radio or the CD. And of course if I was listening to the mp3 in the USB socket I lose my place in the playlist and go to track one. Frustrating.
Anyway, the dealer was unable to do anything. They said they don't have access to the software for the radio, it's all internal to the deck itself, gets done at whatever factory makes the radio deck, and therefore they can't upgrade it. Very disappointing.

Zef,
Have you tried a variety of other USB sticks? The behaviour of you Radio doesn't sound normal (I have a Feb08 Build car and mine works fine)
Always resumes with the previous function/song that was playing...

Zef,
I have tried 4 different USB sticks in my new car and one of them (the hyundai one) does what you say, starts from the beginning everytime. The other 3 stays where they were when I turned the car off.
BTW mine is:
