I think one of the TS bulletins shows how to remove it, as part of the replacement of the flexible steering coupling (which I'm having done soon)

Hey 2i30's, I like how you solved the big question of hatch or wagon...just get both!  icon_lol
Looks tops mate!
I would like to know what springs you used, are they pedders?
How to you find them, day to day ride, handling differences?? And what did they set you back?

they are pedders springs, cost me $600 fitted and a 4 wheel alignment.it rides harder than stock springs but not bone jarring hard.it corners like its on rails.its only 35mm lower but looks a lot more than that.if you want lower than that you have to cut them and that makes you unroadworthy. cheers  steve.

I've got pedders spring part # if any one wants them.

Hi 2i30s

I am just about to take possession of a silver sx crdi and have added a few factory mods/extras. One of them being the manual leather gear knob which comes standard with the slx/sr. however I don't think I am getting the i30 OEM leather gear knob I ordered as my dealer has just emailed me with this:

"gearknob says 6 sp just ignore the Angel gear."

I looked at yours and it has the standard 5 gears plus reverse. I reckon he has taken it from another model Hyundai and just added it on. I will take a photo when it arrives tomorrow and see what you guys think.

Question though, did you fit yours yourself or did they do it at the dealership? Does anyone know how difficult they are to replace as i think I may have to reject this one and demand the OEM and probably fit it myself.

I wouldn't accept a 6sp knob on a 5sp box, it's not good enough. I'd reply to the email and tell him so. It's possible it's a knob from a diesel i30, but it's still not the right one for your car.

Is the sunroof a mod done as a genuine Hyundai fitting? Would love to know how I could get a sunroof in mine.

Speaking of mine. I took posession a week or so ago. I too will post pics soon with full detailed story.

Would love to see pics of mask!

Great mods,
I would paint door handles to white.
Where did you get the gear knob and how much does it cost?
