Perhaps the moderators or owner/s of this forum could create an "i30 Oweners Club" group facebook page to generate more club members and advertise the website and club events around the country. Not to overtake the forum but to attract new members and have a status update from the group say once a week or something and perhaps post new "stickys" to the page so people will visit the forum.

Just an idea considering Facebook is the social medium of the web.

Thoughts people?Huh?

Nothing against your "other" club but that would be all the more reason for us to be on there too  mrgreen

I don't really like facebook but there is no doubt it is very popular... I cancelled my membership..

If one of the other moderators or the Administrator wants to set one up.. anything to bump up our numbers.. mrgreen

I see Brunei has an i30 owners club facebook group. They've got our logo as their mastif and their photo gallery looks like a tribute to bumpkin and hipposniper  icon_rolleyes

search "i30 owners club" without the quotes

i'm confused - the Brunei facebook website link goes to here. do they have their own website?
and the second facebook link is for here, is that from someone here?

for the record i hate facebook....would be yet another thing to need following - i guess handy for those who live there though, and something i have regretfully looked at for my own website
and ...i seem to recall something about you need to own the picture you're using, i think they need permission to actually be using it - i dunno.

The brunei link was added by their admin as an external link, which they point here.

I set the second one up.

I agree about facebook being a waste of time, especially at my age. HOWEVER, it could be useful for when our club goes offline... we can get together on there and discuss stuff, like "why is the club offline"...  Cool

Feel free to set one up. I don't have the time these days to play around with these things.
Just be prepared for the increase in spammers and time wasters on the forum biggrin

My experience of the association of a chat facility with a large forum was the start of it's ultimate demise. Private conversations, in-fighting, cliques. And that was just the moderators  icon_lol
