Finally got it working, and hooked it up this morning to see what parameters were available,

the i30 go's from 07 to 12 and thats with the latest software, so I took some photo's of the laptop screen with it connected to the OBD

sorry for the quality, but will give some idea about the software.

some of the functions worked maybe because mines a 2013 model

Looks interesting enough to buy :-)

If it tells me which ABS sensor has failed on the Pug it will have paid for itself already.

Was going for alliexpress, but I changed my mind right at the last minute due to Alliexpress sellers not taking paypal, so I bought from here instead:

:link: CDP TcsCDP Pro+ OBD2 Scanner 2014.02

Little bit more but includes DHL so should be here in a few days.

It should be basically the same thing, in a different box.

you can pay more to get one with Bluetooth. I don't need that. there are some variations between these clone boards, single board, dual board etc, but it seems this only mostly affects BMW cars which require an OKI chip, and not all the clones have that. Of no consequence to me.

obviously I can give zero feedback on the seller or product at the moment.

Looks good, that's what I was hoping to see. Can you see under component activation does it also have an option to activate/bleed the ABS pump? It might not let you see it without being connected to the pug. And thanks for looking

Bit of a update on this

my anti virus and 2 malware programs didn't pick this up so I decided to do a online scan and it found them so I thought great, but when I tried the start the program it came up exe file missing. It could be part of the coding for the crack. soi ended up reinstalling the program again

You could send it to virustotal.com (perhaps you did already) and see what it says. You might have a better version, although its likely if it just disappeared your av has deleted in the background and not notified you (check av realtime logfile)

there's a file in the software called ' main'  thats the exe file that starts the download onto your pc also puts a shortcut to desktop when finished to start the program, I'm not to bothered about it coz there's nothing sensitive on the laptop I just use it for forums and my other hobbies, so if you see me doing a lot of swearing its not me ^%^  :whistler:

Got  software installed ok, took about 15 minutes.

On the Peugeot 207 it appears to talk to every controller on the CAN bus ok. Instead of just getting "ABS brake fault" from the engine ECU (which was all my ELM327 would say) I have a list of 5 or 6 proper codes directly from the ABS ECU. Bad news is it looks like its an ECU failure. I've checked all the wiring and there is no water ingress, so will be separating it from the pump and sending it off for testing/repair. The DS150 does support manipulating the pump for proper ABS bleeding on the Peugeot. it also identified intermittent coherence on both ABS rear sensors. I've cleaned the rings and sensors and these particular errors have not reappeared.

Getting cold by then, so just a quick look on the i30.

On the i30 first attempt to scan (using the scan-all ISS function) it failed to find the engine ECU. I quickly realised i'd said my car was a 2009 (it was made late in 2009 by referred to as an MY2009.5/MY10) Changed to 2010 and it found it straight away. Plus a bunch of other controllers (immobiliser, restraints, ABS etc). Seemed to look for both climate and automatic transmission ECU, which I don't have.

Anyway, there were some codes stored in ancillary controllers on the i30. I hope they are historical, I am sure at least one is:

P250C engine oil level sensor circuit low
C1260 steering sensor abnormal intermittent
C1616 CAN bus off intermittent

Not too worried about the first (I'll check the sensor with my meter next time I can be bothered). Last one is probably a red-herring. Middle one I hope wont re-appear!.

I have reset all the codes with the DS150 and will check again next weekend.

Really cold by then. So just had a quick look and the option to bleed the ABS is there for the i30 too. probably other interesting things too, but that will have to wait for another day.

Delighted with the DS150 clone. construction is superb, and it appears to have come with an micro sd card slot and button for in-flight mode, which I wasn't expecting.

Anyway. Typed enough. need hot coffee.

Thanks for the heads up on what it can and can't do :goodjob2:, The 2014 R2 software still doesn't cover all the parameters on my chariot so i might give it back to my brother and wait for a release that covers it.

ps. did you update the firmware from within the software

Flight recorder mode works.

In advance you define a template of which values you want to record. This template gets written to the VCI unit.

Then you can just plug the VCI into the car and drive off.  When you want to start to record hold down the Flight Rec button for a couple of seconds. 4 indicator leds go yellow then start an animated dance, and the unit bleeps. Not sure how long it will record for or rather how long the space will last. I'm using a 2GB FAT32 micro USB card. Another 4GB SDHC card I had to hand did not work.

You can then plug the computer back in and see the raw values or graphs over the journey. I was plotting wheel speeds from the abs sensors on the 207, and some other brake values. it seems to be storing values about 10 times a second (roughly)

If it tells me which ABS sensor has failed on the Pug it will have paid for itself already.

Have you check the electrical connectors under the passenger seat?  Seriously!

Alas there is nothing relating to the ABS system under the passenger seat on the pug (there is just an airbag switch). The problems all stem from a notoriously unreliable teves mk60 ABS controller. Shortly to be  be remanufactured for £195 (about 400 AUD).

Having looked at it in detail the wiring on the pug leaves a lot to be desired, there are several possible areas for water ingress. They also thought a good place for the abs ECU is under the left wing/bumper shielded by pretty badly fitting wheel arch liners.

Peugeot /Citroen have always had poor electrics. I had 4 x Citroen BX, a Xantia, 2 x C5 and a Synergy. Luckily all were from new and changed at three years so I only ever suffered  faulty indicators on a BX  owing to a wiring dis-connection behind the instrument panel.  Peculiar to the right hand drive version and, as I was in France, it took the Citroen main dealer three days to find it as it didn't show up on their wiring circuits.

On older 205 the ABS light could was activated by ta connector under the passenger seat being "iffy".  A quick dis-connect/re-connect invariably rectifed the problem.  Still do it regularly on my grand daughter's 205.
