I'm another Ex Mopar owner i had a hemi 265 6 pack, but drove a lot of other Mopars as a mates father had ? that had the 318 fireball with auto, he used to ask me to pick things up for him give me the molar to drive. was a great car. then m8's Dad got a Charger with a 340 that thing flew. also my cousin had an old mopar ute with the slant 6 auto trans , we drove it to the gold coast it went great too i think it was 225? i liked those old slant 6 mopars . remember the old push button auto
Couldn't have been me. I wasn't born yet.
The slant 6 was a pretty awesome bit of kit. You can build a strong reliable slant quite easily.I've shown before my current dream build (but ill put it up again cause I like looking at it lol) Plymouth Valiant 2door basically an AP5-6 but never got 2doors in Aus.

So it was you lot, who drove up the fuel prices in 70-80's.
Cruiser what that fool did to your dad's old car Is sacrilege Why would you want to try and make a CxC look like an R/T Charger

Yes Sir, & loving it!think ol Mal , put a tax on fuel to match the OPEC countries fuel price .But the saddest time was when all those fuel shortages happened world wide in 70's , as that's when they developed self service fuel stations, so they could control fuel rationing in USA. before that we could be as lasy as the Indian behind the till these days, just sit on our butt in the car & get served, they even done a full service for free & cleaned your windows checked the tyre pressure checked the water checked the oil, while you sat in the car nice dry & warm out of the nasty elements. after the tank got whatever you asked for , the attendant would come you payed they would take your cash ( no plastic then ) & if needed bring you back your change all with a smile all done by a real Aussie. no one robbed servo's, no one stole fuel or drove off without paying.what were you riding a push bike Phil? or a dinky?
