A video camera on the front of a freight train captures the moment when two women narrowly escape death in the US state of Indiana.

Walking along the railway tracks on an 80ft-high bridge, with no space either side, the only option left was to duck.

One of the women lies down in the centre of the railway between the metal rails, and the other bends over in front of the train before she is hidden from sight.

The women, who are lucky to have survived the ordeal, have been identified and Indiana Rail Road officials have given evidence to the county sheriff's department, which is investigating the incident.
