How can they post an ad like that without disclosing reason for write-off.
probably been underwater and destroyed motor? Trying to think of any other reasons from visable damage.
I recon that $500 start price is for a wheel nut lol.

There is a photo of the motor running according to the instrument panel. It has auction numbers on the screen so it could still run. Most likely dumped into the ocean, my guess.

With just 194k it must have happened within a few day of sale unless demo and potential buyer decided to check its safety features
  • 1.4 Petrol Active I'm no expert, so please correct me if

Regarding the leather seats, is it an easy swap?  I have concerns with the airbags being affected.  Cheers.

I wondered that too. They are a bargain if easily swapped . Hopefully our resident tech "cruiserfied" would know... Or maybe someone else.

You could try asking Hyundai (or do some measurements in a local Hyundai yard.)  :undecided:

It's so easy for a vehicle to be classed as a statutory write off, usual one is water inundation.
If water reaches the interior of the vehicle to a level of the inner door sill, SWO.
(I'm unsure if this rule has been amended to a level of above/below the dashboard (above SWO, below RWO) but with airbags in the doors???
Once on the SWO register it's only good for parts.
Even the repairable write off register is a nightmare for the unwary.
Repair costs and worse, inspection costs soon blow that "cheap" buy way out of all proportion.

ONLY 194 KM  :scared:

Yeah I first saw that posting back in about Feb this year.  Was thinking about offering something for the sat nav (ship it to my Mum - but then decided better of it).

One thing I noticed about it was - the back right hand indicator is smashed all to hell and back and the bumper below it looks damaged, the boot looks bent and the back windscreen is smashed, the front bumper has damage right hand side (and bonnet is ajar)... and there is no photos of right-hand side.   My thought is maybe a side-swipe, or a spin-out, that warped the frame or causes other damage to parts that make up the safety features such as to be costly to repair - but wasn't enough to cause airbags... or maybe it was collided with while parked.
