No, it's the emissions, which at 100g/km is just on the border for zero tax

Thats just bloody daft. Diesels have lower CO2 emmisions, but a lot of other gunge. France did the same thing, incentives for diesels due to lower C02 and Paris ended up with smog and banning half the cars on certain days.

In the Netherlands the only incentive is for hybrids and full on Duracell cars in eco purchase tax.

Diesels and LPG drivers pay a 50% and 100% premium on road tax (coz the fuel is cheaper). Road tax is levied based on vehicle kerb weight.

Seems a bit high. I just checked my old FD and it's showing £110 for 12 months
