Or "Get the red one, it has a better stereo."
So who bought a car in a colour for safety reasons or a colour that appealed to you or the wife said I don't like your choice I prefer another colour
Story:- when we Bought Cyril (Sue's car) Sue wanted the Vivid Blue and no other colour would be considered. So when it came to Buying Bruce,I actually wanted either white or Black(white preferably)there was a reason for this,I hate the silver/charchaol,bronzy and palish grey/blues with a vengeance,if it where up to me I would ban them. But then for other reasons and pressure form the one who makes the rules,I settled on Bruce being another Vivid Blue, agreed even the darker colours are a danger on the road, hence the reason I support 24/7 lights on when driving,a few bulbs are cheaper than mine or someone else's life'I can't tell you in all the miles I have done and do, how many times I have nearly cleaned up a silver or charcoal cloured car because it has been nigh on invisible on certain roads and road conditions, especially in winter on the highway, truck spray coming up from your tri's and since in my experience nearly all knobs in silver cars in those conditions are the ones who feel they are the only ones in inclement conditions/poor visibility conditions don't need to have their lights on

I bought the red i30 because it was on the lot at a discount. I liked the colour initially, but that has changed - I now love the colour. My last two cars have been white, so a change was in order. Of course, everyone knows that red goes faster!

I know your not a Knob Phil, you'd never drive around without your lights on in bad weather
Blimey Rick you have started something now , we are going to have to have an i30 knobs club, only knobs allowed with silver cars.
As we have had the DRL required for many years now, I can assure you it's easier to spot the oncoming traffic when they have the lights on, no matter if it's the LED DRL's or the headlights.
Never mind that later on, the son giving her grief about the colour suggested to her that if she was selling the Astina it would be suitable for his wife.
or only for cars with silver knobs,or only for blokes with sliver knobs and cars(that didn't sound right)
A silver car on a warm day with heat shimmer on the road is a recipe for disaster. They are effectively invisible to oncoming traffic. I didn't want silver at all for that reason, but it was the only Berlina they had at the time. The paint is just about stuffed now but I don't think I'll be spending any $ on it. I have recently had trans serviced, steering pump & rack replaced, so I'm keeping it to get the use out of it, then off to the knacker'y (the car or me, whichever comes first), at the appropriate time I guess.

I can honestly say, in all the years I spent driving around this great country of ours, city and country, night and day, hot or cold, wet or dry, humid or not, I've never had a problem seeing silver cars. But I can picture the scenario as you describe it.
