If it's just the wiper blade itself then any auto shop can cut an fit new rubbers for you.

Most good auto shops have a guide to what blades you will need to fit your car.  You can either get them to fit them for a small fee (I think it is a couple of dollars from SuperCheap Auto in Australia), or use a box cutter to cut the blades to length.  Just ensure that you get the right width blade guide.  Also use the old saying, "Measure twice, cut once."

Why.................................. are they shot.............................. never had to replaced blades on my 3.5 yo yet.

Have you cleaned the rubber edge to see if that helps?

Here we replace wiper blades twice yearly. They are cheap as chips though (AU$10 for a pair of Bosch blades and frames), it seems like our climate eats them up pretty fast

Definitely try eye30's tip before replacing - I use neat screen wash and the white tissue looks black when I've done both sides of both blades.

If you definitely need replacements try :link: Wiper Blades Ltd. | Suppliers of Quality Windscreen Wiper Blades. - I've used them for years and the quality of their own brand blades is great. They sell the hybrid blade that is used on the i30 GD but you don't have to use that. An alternative is :link: Car Parts Online, Spare Parts, Motor Spares from CarParts4Less.co.uk

Yes, the windscreen is a magnet for road grime and oil. Wash the screen and dry it with newsprint, also wipe the blade rubbers as they will be dirty too. Cheap & easy.
