Something Snowcherry said in another thread reminded me of a very serious and private bloke I used to work with and some of the funny things he used to come out with...

She said she had a soft spot for a certain place...

This co-worker had a run in with a very annoying lady who kept on having a shot at him about every little detail..

She said to him " people like me must really annoy you" and he said "not really, I've got a soft spot for people like you..." ..... yeah it's called a swamp...

She wasn't impressed...

Another time I came back from the doctors and said I thought it was funny how the Doctor always said...

"so what seems to be the matter...?"

He said next time the doctor said that to me I should say...

"so is that why you call this a practice"  

He was very dry.. but also very witty (I wish I could remember more)

he sounds like my old sports teacher from back in my schooldays,he said to me one day after i gave him a bit of lip,youve got a kind face steve, the kind you want to hit with a rake.

Even a nice bloke like me   can be scathing at times.....

When I used to manage a bank I had two of my Tellers (both called Mark) come in to my office at the same time to tell me they were short in their tills.. (and they had done a few other stupid things too..)

I said "the last time I saw two marks like you guys it was in someones undies..." I think they got the message I wasn't pleased
