* I'll keep this first post clean for running logs*
-----------------------------------------------------
Date - Dec 11th
Total Car KM - 2817 KM
km driven this tank - 367.9KM
reported fuel usage - 11.5 liters per 100 KM
average speed - 28KM/H
KM left before needing gas - missed this

Gas type: N1 95 octane
Fuel Taken: 44.00 liters @ 206.70 kr per liter
Driving Notes: Mostly commuting to/from work - 7km each way with a few 20-30km trips.  Outside temp dropping so i'm assuming this is the cause of the slightly worse mileage.  O2 sensors taking longer to heat up and engine running rich in open loop longer

One note here, just after filling up, we hit the highway for a roughly 130 KM trip and car reported 8.3 L/100 KM!

Also, the low fuel warning light came on 0.5 km's prior to me getting gas.  Based on only taking 43 liters of fuel, that leaves 10 liters AFTER the warning light comes on and should mean i could drive almost another 100 KM's to be completely bone dry.

Total Car KM - 460KM
km driven this tank - 430KM
reported fuel usage - 10.4 liters per 100 KM

Gas type: Olis 95 octane
Fuel Taken: 42.46 liters @ 193.? kr per liter
Driving notes: Almost all inner city driving

Hey all, bought my i30cw a month ago... Turns out its a 2008 MY that was first registered in 2009 for a single day, then sat on the dealer lot until i picked it up a month or so ago.

it's a 1.6 petrol auto style

It had 30 km's when i got it and I just finished my first tank of gas.

Almost all gas here in iceland is minimum 95 octane with an option of 98 octane.  Im using the 95 octane.

The weird thing is i could of sworn that I read the tank is 55 liters yet I ran the car until the warning light came on (yesterday).  The stats are listed above.

It seems correct, 400 KM @ 10.5 liters per 100 KM... so either the light comes on with 10 liters of fuel left, or the tank isn't 55ish liters?

any thoughts on the tank size, and the mileage reporting?

thx!

The offical tank size is 53 litres but some have managed to get around 60 litres in by filling slowly (the other 7 litres being the capacity of the filler neck)

The warning light does come on a bit early (not sure of the petrol model) but can drive for up to maybe 140 kms after light comes on in Diesel (according to some brave souls) about 8 or 9 litres...

I think you need to keep tracking it over time.. Kilometres remaining is always conservative.

Cheers Dazz

the official size is 53 but i only got 45 tops into my tank..
it's still a gas guzzler (or for you petrol drinker :P)
I have the 1.6 pertrol... doing about 9km per litre
thinking about looking it up with the dealership

looks like she took 42.5 liters on that fill up... so that's roughly 10km per liter

not outstanding mileage by any means, but it gets the same in the city as our old audi allroad did on the highway, so we're not complaining alot :)

I'll continue to update this thread with my mileage reports including liters of fuel

thx for the info/help guys!
