As I and others have had 'problems' with the cruise control I thought a new subject start is in order. Also included are other queries answered by Hyundai. I'll stress that I haven't proved the details below yet, but consider all will be helpful to others.

etc.

The cruise control will not set until it has received a signal from the brake pedal sensor. This is a safety feature. It will not set unless it knows it can be switched off by the brake.

Please refer to the owner's manual. "Starting the diesel engine" in the "Driving your vehicle" chapter. It states "Depress the clutch fully and shift the transaxle into neutral. Keep the clutch pedal and brake pedal depressed while turning the ignition switch to the start position."

Audio setup: SDVC is speed related volume control. If switched on, the volume will automatically increase to compensate for anticipated road noise.

The red dots (on the speedometer) are indicators, highlighting these speeds as they are common limits in built up areas.

Thank you Hyundai, Australia.
Kevin

meh doesnt worry me, i dont need cruise control as it spends 90% of its time in traffic on the way to and from work! no point having cruise control in traffic or when you are being constantly cut off by idiots that then slam on the brakes...

Cruise comes standard on the SLX not SX now. You can get a pack from Hyundai with cruise and fogs for about $400 for the SX. Might cost more if you already have a car though..
