So far I have just done the front calipers..   For a total of 4 hours so far. From 1st removing the wheel to putting them back on.
Tomorrow morning I will finish off the rear calipers.  As it just gets a bit to breezy to do it in the afternoon. To keep the overspray at bay.

Of course the 1st thing to do is to jack up the car & support it with stands. Remove wheels. So much easier now I have a cordless impact wrench.
Then spray brake cleaner over everything.. & wipe over with a microfiber cloth with brake cleaner sprayed on it. Got to get the caliper clean.
Then mask up everything that you don't want painted with masking tape. Including bolt heads & bleeding nipple etc.
Then cover everything else with up with a plastic drop sheet. At only $2.50 per sheet, one sheet per side.

1st a light spray to cover. Then every 10 mins keep going over with coverage. from the top & then the bottom. To get an even coverage.

I gave it around an hour. Then removed the drop sheet & masking tape. Then just to fit the wheels & done..
And of course the new Black Wheel Nuts finish it off quite nicely.  Now just waiting for the high temp vinyl decals to go on.
Not 100% if I'll go ahead & leave them on. I'll see what they look like 1st. Ohh & they are in Orange of course  :P :link: Hyundai Brake Caliper Calliper Decals Stickers - ALL OPTIONS | eBay

Nice Job Pete! Look like the only thing you didn't mask up was the Mrs!  :snigger:

Pity you can't get a Brembo sticker!

They’ve come up good :goodjob:

I wouldn’t bother with the stickers, it’ll make em look more fake if you know what I mean

Cheers. Mask, mask & mask..   Easier to keep paint away rather than trying to get it off at a later date. Specially paint work..  Brembo decals you can get..  But Noo!!

Good job and good write up too mate  :goodjob: At least I wont have to ask you any daft questions  ;)

Cheers.  Preparation takes the longest.  Painting is the easy part.

Cheers..   Yeah that's why I'm not to sure on the decals either..   Might throw one on & see what it looks like..

Well ended up doing the rears this morning..  Didn't take as long as the fronts. As I knew exactly what to do..
The advantage is I think you don't have to wait for it to dry.  Just gave it 20mins after the last coat. So it was touch dry.
Then peel everything off & fit the wheels..  Not going out anywhere today. So they can spend the rest of the day to dry..

Also on a different thread of getting Eibach springs.  While the wheels were off I had a good look at the suspension.
The rear springs I could quite easily do in less than 30 mins. While the fronts prob around a cpl of hours.
Nothing I haven't done before on my Astra changing the top mounts on the struts.  So maybe that's next ??
With the last photo with the car side on. I think a 20mm lowering would look quite nice..

Hey.  Got it all from Supercheap Auto.

I knew I didn't want Red or Yellow. Hence why I went with black.
But I did think of going Blue, as that is the Motorsport colour of Hyundai.
Here is a photo with 19" wheels

What model Honda?
1994 Prelude 😎
They were a very nice car.. I was a car salesman for a whole month (I hated it) at a Nissan/Honda dealer in the mid 90's and got to spend time driving Honda Preludes (sold 1), Nissan 200sx and Nissan 300z. They were the only 3 things I liked about the job. I spent a lot of time thinking about buying a Prelude or a 200sx but because I was a sole parent at that time and switching jobs I ended up sticking with something more practical (Pintara wagon)  :-[ I've made up for it since!

If you feel like it, feel free some time to tell us more in Members other motors... I might even join in with a few of my old favourites.  :goodjob:
