Hi Scootlid   :welly3:

Is the forward-facing radar cover (on your grill) free of dirt/snow/ice/meatballs ?

No meatballs, just a bit of water from.the rain that I could see will double check in the morning when there is more light around

As reported in the past, a dirty/impeded radar coverplate manifests itself as "smart cruise unavailable" or "requirements not met" messages. My Ioniq has suffered both these when driving through thick snowfalls.

I'm not saying that's your issue but it's an easy check for you to make :)

Most likely cause will be the radar is dirty. This is common on all cars with this safety tech, heavy rain often renders these systems inoperable.

That's interesting. I've had a couple of hiccups with my BDS but even in the heaviest rain I haven't had an issue with my Radar Cruise. (I've driven in VERY heavy rain several times in the SR) :Touch:

Thats when it could assist even a competent driver .

This bloody rubbish is added to cars to make the vulnerable feel bullet proof.

Probably uses Boeing software.

Should be banned. :crazy1:

Had a similar error message and the fault was the front facing camera in the grill - replaced under warranty last year.

Funny, my car is exactly the same as yours (including colour), with a Nov 2017 build.

You can do a diagnostic check via your mobile with AutoLink - this may provide some more details.

In any case, best to see your Hyundai service centre.
