Where I live (south of Perth) it's cold, blustery and raining off and on.
Currently 20 degrees, forecast low 17, feels like winter outside.
Tomorrow's forecast high is 22.

It's been week after week of occasional snowing and then melting to slush, and then again freezing. Some sunny days here and there, temperatures around 0, few plus degrees in afternoon and freezing at night.

When snowing turns into raining, that means the summer has begun!  :snigger: Unlike in the good old days, cold winters and sunny summers have become an exception.

i think you also have to add humidity like 20c & 99% humidity feel's different to 20c & 65% humidity so what humidity are we talking about as that effects me a lot more!! like 45c low humidity i just get under a tree feels fine.

Agree with Lakes,
20 c with more than 25% humidity & sweat is dripping off everywhere
 :sweating:  :sweating:  :disapp:
40 c with less than 25 %, hot but dry, :happydance:

Daughter and S.I.L. went to Bamf (?) In Canada in early January,  was supposed to go on dog sled trip, called off by dog owner. Minus 40 !

Can get quite humid down here. I've seen people from the north island complaining when it's high 20's

Humidity also has a role of how cold our freezing temperatures may feel. In coastal regions when the wind is blowing from the sea, -10 degrees will feel much colder than what it would be farther off the coast. Humid sea wind can also produce lots of black ice to the roads which is a devilish hazard.

On the other hand, during winter the relative humidity indoors may fall as low as 30% when it's -30 out there. Besides many of us needing eye drops and hand lotion then, it will also mean lots of static electricity. A typical way to have a good *zap* is to get out of your car and then touch the door in order to shut it. No-no-no... instead, put your hand first to the metal edge of the door and keep it there while getting out.

Wow! Learn something every day! I never knew that about humidity and static... Although I've had some cars that were worse with it than others particularly those with velour seats when I wore Nylon work shirts.  :undecided:

The Wife said your "no zap trick" would be a bit harder if you were getting in the car!  :crazy1:

I'm finding my corner of the world decidedly more windy, with almost debilitating headwinds on one leg of the journey and easy 35 kph cruising on the other. :crazy1:

Gold Coast this morning.  We are under this lot at the moment. The remnants of Cyclone Debbie decided to pay us a visit. Nothing like the destruction the North of Queensland  had though with houses destroyed and a complete mess of the areas. 130mm of rain for us.

Nah just dripped onto the ground, which gave assistance to everything else to waterlog the area.

Didn't make much difference, once fixed, the water just blew back from the bottom connection and waterlogged the area...... :crazy1:

It's rain and slush again, and will likely continue like this until Christmas. I guess this would be nothing unseen for our UK members...  :P

Sigh. It was another lousy so called summer. April and May were exceptionally cold, and daily snow and sleet showers continued to the first days of June. The summer months at least weren't hopelessly rainy, but not warm either. In large areas of Finland there were not a single freakin' day of having +25 degrees in whole summer; even +20 days weren't very common.

How about the autumn then? Well, if the summer was late and never really came, the autumn hit on time at full force! Rain, rain, rain. Week after week, just about every day - nothing but almost continuous rain or drizzle.  :disapp: Many farmers lost their crops into their soaked and flooded fields, which were too soft for any tractors to go there. Our local farmers barely managed to get their crops up though, when there were just two sunny days at the end of September.

At the beginning of this week we had a brief winter, with 10 cm of snow and temps down to -14 at Wednesday, but it was short lived. Now it's like in that upper pic from today.

Hi tohis. Yes the weather patterns  have definitely changed.  Parts of our winter this year were bitterly cold and more rainy days than usual as well. Our current trip on the north island the weather hasn't been great either. Raining today in Albury, the next few days expected to be fine and high 20's  :victory:
