Title: FD Tweeter replacement
Post by: deto01 on September 07, 2021, 09:12:16
Hi all

I'm upgrading my 2009 FD SX i30 and have a couple of tweeters to install.
There was a post from 2014 where detailed instructions were posted, however the link no longer works.
Does anyone have a copy by chance?
OR, can anyone suggest how to wire them up as it is not plug and play.

Cheers

Hi!

I am sure the community here should be able to find a solution.

In my FD, the tweeters sit behind a panel that covers the bolts to the outside rear view mirrors. Do you have a piece of plastic on yours with a perforated section, or is it solid? I am not sure if you would have the right wires in place, but it should be trivial to run new ones if need be.

Also check out this link, perhaps it will help:  :link: How to Install a Tweeter for Better Sound Quality - I30 (2007-2012) (https://www.i30ownersclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=52324.0)
