Title: changing the diffuser to chrome
Post by: swiera on January 10, 2022, 11:30:58
hello someone changed the rear bumper diffuser from plain black to chrome? I am curious if it fits without a problem and how is it with parking sensors or is there a problem with it?

Hello, Swiera.

I can't advise about fit. That would be up to the seller to provide assurance.

Any metallic elements in that part should not interfere with parking sensors. They are ultrasonic, not magnetic.

with sensors, I mean is there a problem with mounting? you have to cut the cables to put them through the hole

If you cannot disconnect the sensors somewhere on the loom, you can still rejoin any cut cables without detriment.
You have options ranging from twisting and taping (not recommended) to soldering and heatshrinking or crimping and connecting.
