In my industry we've already seen some of the larger companies postpone or cancel some of their exploration programmes, particularly the ones that are a long way out!!

When I land on an oil rig, I am the lowest paid person on the rig.  My "base" salary is $132k pa, + I get $133 per day (tax free) that I am away from home + $800 for taking an extra day to get home.  So really my package is about $200k pa.  Not bad considering I only fly on average of three times per tour.  Lucky I get paid for what I can do and what I know, not what I actually do.  Some of the "drillers" on the rigs get in excess of $300k pa with a 28/28 roster.

I am jealous now .. not that I have anything to complain about finance wise. I managed a bank and about 5 other businesses before I retired and few of my salaries approached half of your base salary! Mind you Tassie pay rates are poor.
