Dazz,
There's her next birthday present,  some hot laps in a race car .  :happydance:
May need to come to the mainland  though.

My son & a group of friends have managed to set up camp in the vineyard in middle of track & will be there for the 5 days.

Not sure how they scored that though.
A few bits on TV is about my limit.

Brisbane has an ideal circuit called Lakeside. Best spectator viewing and the bikers love it.
Hmmm Dazz,,,  I could arrange for some laps on a Ducati ?  :D

I just worked out 10 of my 145 fb riends are at Bathurst.

I'm in my most comforable leather lay back chair, watching the local radar. Track could be wet for the start.

I thought being erratic, vague and unpredictable were good traits for a driver...

that was a good race!
bugger, it's been dry up there and they need rain, but the cars are not set up for rain, did you see how those perspectives or what ever? windscreens went with a bit of rain, the wipers could not work at high speed.
and one driver was using a window cleaning swiper while driving a race car.
you don't see nscar race in rain then stop if any type water on track.
Reynolds was a real pro on the day, from number 2 on the grid,  to wining the race, well done.

Yep.
Most enjoyable to watch.
The David Reynolds/ Erebus win was well deserved.
I always felt Reynolds was poorly treated at the end of  his contract with FPR.
He'd hardly left the building and they were promoting Winterbottom's "New" sponsor, Bottle O which had been Reynolds.

And Betty Klimenko is a real character. Despite her team's success with Mercedes sports cars, the company didn't help her when she bought into Supercars.
So she changed over to Commodores and has been quietly building towards yesterday's success.

For anyone who hasn't heard of her, this is worth a read. Ask yourself how the daughter of a drug addicted Kings Cross prostitute can get to the level of being able to own a V8 Supercar team.

Would have liked Scotty Mac to win, but like most, was pretty happy to see Reynolds and Erebus have a breakthrough.

Totally agree with your sentiments Trev.  :victory:

Was a good race. Interesting right up to the end.  :goodjob:

Watched a bit more than I was planning,  the rain made it  that bit more  interesting.
Amazed they got so far before the safety car was needed.
As usual  it was tight at the end.
Googled B Klimenko after the race,  what a story.
Would make a good doco .

There was a doco on her a few years back. Not sure who did it though.

Cheers,

If I share a link on You Tube from my Laptop or PC it works fine but if I click share on you tube from my tablet then select copy link it puts a dot in the middle of you tube and it embeds a blank square.

I just swapped to my laptop, but thought you guys might beat me.  :crazy1:
