The lady that sells them lives in the whoop whoop (about and hour and a half away) she wants to deliver it to me next Wednesday as she's coming this way. Watch this space!  :happydance:

If it works...great :happydance: hopefully for $400 it comes with something more than $3 worth of red LED's stuck on a safety helmet skull cap and mounted inside a bucket :snigger:

Now you've seen the light you should buy a DeLorean to complete the ensemble.

Joking apart - I hope it works for you.

If it works, great. I have my doubts.

Though for the lady in the article, it seems to be steadying her hand when using a mouse sander

I've got to take my hat off to you skeptics.. I'm thinking if I use a long enough extension cord I can also use it as a sun hat and do some whipper snippering while I get my daily dose.

But seriously I'm quietly confident. With my luck I'll improve so quickly they'll reject my partly assessed disability claim!  :crazy2: :crazy1: :Pout:

So I've had my Coronet hat for around 10 days and I think I'm getting my sense of smell back and my brain seems less fuzzy ( I'm thinking clearer, less hunting for the right word or having to think so much before I speak.) So pretty happy so far. Hopefully in time I'll start noticing improvements in a few other symptoms.

It is programmed to do 12 minutes with the redder wavelength then 12minutes with the pinker one before switching off.  They can connect with Bluetooth via an app to program different functions.  I can use the app to pause the timer if I get a visitor or need a toilet stop.

Not what I expected to see/read when I clicked on this topic...

All the best, Darryl with your bucket, I really hope it gives you the results you're looking for, I sincerely mean that :goodjob:

As somebody who works in aged care (albeit not in a professional role and I'm also not insinuating you are "aged" :P ) it's interesting to see different techniques and methods being tried out to halt or at least alleviate the onset of dementia and in your case, Parkinson's. Once again, you have all my best wishes that it helps.

Also...tried driving with that on? Be an interesting time at a set of lights :P

Thanks very much for that. Mine requires a 240 volt outlet to power the 12 volt transformer, but a lady on the Facebook parkinson's chat group has a similar gadget from Canada which cost about $3000 and she has apparently used it a couple of times on the way to work in the car and generated some confusion. .. :snigger:

Well said Mikkantoo. My thoughts also.

PS. But, as a fashion statement I don't think it's going to catch on.  :D

Good on ya for giving it a go, Dazz. Don't be swayed by the 240V. There are cheap enough inverters you can use in the car. For what wattage / current is the plug pack rated?

Even better. Forget the inverter and just plug into your cigarette lighter for the 5A you need.
