Hi All,

After a few years of going through sub-$1500 shitboxes I decided to hop off that train and got myself something that I'll own for at least 5 years.

Now a proud owner of an i30 MY2011 SX 1.6 Diesel with the 6 speed manual gearbox. Very happy with how this car performs and it's extremely comfortable (first time owning a car that's less than 15 years old lol)

Picked it up in white and have some plans:

• Going for the stormtrooper kind of look
• Window Tint: 35 front sides, 20 rear sides, 10 on valance panels, 35 for rear
• Dashcam front and rear
• Replace interior lamps with a warmer colour
• Dashmat, carseats, wheel cover, weather shields
• Roofracks maybe
• Bluetooth OBD2 module and possibly a RaspberryPi, who knows yet!
• Plastidip exterior chromed plastic to either white or black, maybe paint door handles

A few gremlins that a mechanic mate of mine picked up today -- Looks like there's a boost leak and the clutch slave cylinder looked "weird". So hopefully getting those looked at this weekend and I'll learn a thing to two. The rear driver lock actuator also makes a really strange noise sometimes when locking, which I've been told means it's on it's way out. Looks like the front passenger door lock is also broken and needs replacing.
