Hi all, had my i30 now for two weeks and must say I'm loving it way more than my old car. Started with the usual upgrades, mats, sill protectors, etc... just got round to swapping out all the interior lighting for LED's and everything has gone fine except for the vanity lights.

I've seen some other posts on here about using a nylon pry bar to get them out but they feel like they're glued in? I know that wont be the case but I applied a fair old amount of pressure before I heard what sounded like a tearing noise so I stopped as I didn't want to damage the headliner.

Am i being too gentle or is there a knack to getting these lights out?

The FD lights looking at Lorian's pic are mounted and designed the same minus the manual switch it appaears. A single spring loaded clip on the outer narrow edge of the unit or the edge closest to the door side, same will be the case on the passenger side, the edge closest to the door. That's the side I'd pry from
