Title: Rubber on boot button _!!NOT the key-less entry the actual boot
Post by: deertaco on June 18, 2017, 05:45:08
Hi All,

So the rubber on the boot button/hatch release of my 2012 I30 is coming away. And cant find anywhere that supplies a replacement. All I can find is info about the keyless entry buttons which I have already fixed.

Does anyone know where I can find info on this OR the keywords that might help me google this further.

Thanks
Ben

Welcome Ben,

Well that's a new one for me. In 9 years of helping to run this site I can't recall that being reported.

Are you just out of warranty. 2012 car should be covered until 2017?

Might need to ask at the dealer, or you could try and get one off a late model wreck?

For FD series,

You will have to buy the whole unit. Or find a wreck and get one 812602L000
Go to koraps and it'll cost $17.40 USD delivered or $23 AUD or jump on Ebay and $27 from the same place.

Brand new, I bet even at the wreckers it won't be much cheaper and the dealer, well that would be an interesting comparison.

I'd spend the money and get a new one.
