Took Santa on a trip up to see our folks.  Tura Beach to Beresfield 650 km , A/C on, mainly 10km over , a few good runs up to 40km over from Nimmitabel to Cooma. Anita doing full throttle overtaking up to 30 over Cooma to Fhyswick.
Up to 8.5 l / 100km when being naughty,  7.0 -7.5 l / 100km when doing the 10 over.
Comfy cruising  .

   Hope you don't get any surprises in the mail! I always hold my breath for up to 6 weeks when I return from mainland trip! 

That's great economy from a big comfy cruiser!

Snowy Mountains Highway is an awesome piece of road,  mainly barren with big sweeping curves ,  big long straights and you can seee clearly for kms. It just says " go for it "    .
Heavily patrolled weekends and particularly during snow season.

Anyway, cruising at 20 over between Fyshwick and Cooma:
 backs off as coming up on ute ,
 check behind -clear back to top of hill 600 - 700m behind
 can't see far enough ahead to pass,
 1, 2, now I can,
Right blinker on, one flash, tromp, COLOUR AND MOVEMENT in corner of eye, BACK OFF, Hwy Patrol V8 Commodore is nailed, surges ahead, V8 bellowing.

Fark !! - double check and pass ute.

No lights or sirens, just out for a fang ! 
I'm not the only who loves that road
