The Korean city of Suwon has opened what it says is "the world's first toilet theme park".

Bill Maynard has been speaking about his struggle to find a decent toilet seat.

The actor, best known for playing Heartbeat's Claude Greengrass, told BBC Radio 2's Jane Garvey that today's loo seats are not strong enough to take his weight.

The 83-year-old says finding an adequate toilet seat is particularly difficult for people who are heavy and disabled.

I think I hear what you're saying Dazz, but for me, I spend much more time going forwards to the loo. Going backwards to the loo is a rarer occurrence thankfully, if you get my drift.

Sounds like a girl who used to work at RR .. she was so busy texting she didn't see one of the blokes had left the seat up and nearly got her arse stuck (apparently)

OK, a question for our British friends on here..how many of you have toilet seats/lid made of nice shiny timber?

I have done a few trips to ye olde Dart and found many B&B's, private houses, pub rooms etc have ye olde wooden toilet seats.

A couple of nice places I stayed at in England even had heated toilet seats, ye gods.

Wooden toilet seats are not really big in Australia.

I remember well as a kid (well, a child in England) those wooden toilet seats.
Over here we only have plastic ones so in years to come they'll probably find out they're made in China and are carcinogenic and we'll all die from cancerous cheeks or something.
