Title: Dirt patch on bonnet
Post by: Bengee54 on July 13, 2018, 16:57:17
Hi,

Please can someone help?
I continually notice a dirty patch on my bonnet (see pics)

Does anyone else get this? Is it due to the shape of the metal?

Thanks
Ben

Maybe there's excess shampoo collecting and drying in just that spot causing it to be slightly sticky. Make sure it's completely rinsed and dry there.

There are various points on my i40 where the water runs due to the shape of the vehicle. I suspect when the car is dirty the water takes the dirt for a ride.

petrol I'd say and why you can't remember. We just had a cold snap, Maybe Gary just thawed out from a major reset. :whistler:

Personally I was struggling with the cold  to drain the water off the trailer.

Realised I had a challenge when the water was stuck to the cover.

I don't park under any tree (when at home), so I'm a bit perplexed (is that the right word?!).
It doesn't come from a bird - that would be a damn good aim to land in the same  spot .
I think it may be due to the dry weather - all that dust in the air. But doesn't explain why it collects there

 Hmmm.... Bengee54, as you can see Gerard finally solved his massive trailer water drama, but in that case he had all the facts in front of him and his wife is an excellent research assistant.

Therefore, please forward the offending part (with quarantine certificate) to our Ipswich team.

Please be assured that your predicament has rocked all our club members to the core and we will leave no droppings unturned until this calamity ceases to affect your life..

Your whit is only exceeded by your personal charm Gary.  :snigger:

@Bengee54

It is an odd one! Has to be the shape of the bonnet, but makes you wonder why not happening on the other side and to others? My wife has had a 2014 Tourer for almost 4 years and it is a dirt magnet, but cant recall that Phenomenon.  :crazy1:
