Hi all

I received my usb cable to connect my iPod to the stereo and it solves 99% of the gripes I had on the stereo as now I can play from iPod and control from iPod. But when the key is removed the iPod is still on but suspended and of course drains.  When the key is in that usb is charging the iPod so I'm wondering if it's possible to have that USB port set to always charge even when key removed. Or will that cause problems?

Thanks

There would possibly be a way to have it constantly powered with some re-wiring but then you might run the risk of draining your battery

I would think it's better just to unplug the ipod and not have it sitting there for thieves to notice :undecided:

The tricky bit is that you want the data to go to your entertainment unit but it doesn't charge your storage device when off. You could adapt the USB socket so that its power delivery pin is connected to a battery feed point in the fusebox.
