The diverging diamond interchange design is proposed for a local major intersection. Its an interesting thing and I predict will confuse our local drivers. Lets see how it works out.

Meh, when we were living in the UK we regularly drove off the ferry onto the RHS of the road in Calais without any drama, then back onto the LHS in Dover. :cool:

Its not a bad design at all. It's major flaw is the people behind the steering wheel.

I'm referring to the fact that the schematic is obviously based on a US or Europe  road network.
Not the fact that they swap from one side to the other on the bridge.

Oh yes, disclaimer...

The same principle applies but of course to local driving conditions. Its still going to confuse the locals. From studying this what it does is remove the lights for right turns onto the motorway providing free flowing traffic by removing that bottleneck. Clever idea actually.
