Prior to Easter,  went to start mower - made a clatter and no compression.
Off with valve cover, intake valve stuck 1/2 way. Took  to repairer,  told problem and said " remove head and have a look "
Chase it up this morning - was told by younger guy " got valve unstuck, running but backfiring through carby a bit.  Could be timing or rings ".
       ????, WTF ????, 
"OK, just leave it I'll come over Monday."
WHY did I  bother , FARK !

Would suggest the valve is still hanging. What is it a Honda? OHV . Geez the last time I messed with a stuck valve on a 4 stroke was when I was a kid and dad ran the B & S on super instead of standard fuel which coked it up. side valve , well the head came off to get to the valves

Picked it up today,  doesn't start , just blows oil out of the carby -  good on ya's, just F'd the rings by trying to start it after unsticking valve.

Mate there are a few sites selling new Honda motors. They are Thai built, probably where the original came from.

I put a new Honda OHV on our brush cutter. cost $220 incl post.

Aluminium deck etc is "made in Australia " .
