Post by: Traps on November 26, 2020, 19:15:25
Hi Guys,

Have a Stage 1 + 2015 i30 GD 1.4 Diesel, was hoping to get an exhaust system to make the car sound better was wondering if there are any good options out there.

Thanks in advance

What's a Stage 1 ?

You might get the sound you want with a simple muffler change to a straight through type, have a chat with your local exhaust shop for some options.

Hi Craig,

Appreciate your reply was thinking of doing something like that and maybe get a catless downpipe, what I meant by stage 1 was the car is remapped from the standard 90BHP to 135BHP..

A better downpipe will certainly help with the performance on a diesel, as will a larger intercooler.

Do you have yearly MOT inspections in Ireland ? if you do then removing the cat/dpf might mean a failure :undecided:

We have MOT every 2 years, these things are very corrupt and it's easy to pass any of the inspections. do you recommend any downpipes or intercoolers for the MKII ?

No sorry, might be worthwhile speaking with a local performance shop for some options, they may even be able to custom make something for you.
