Hi guys,
I would like to install a UHF CB antenna and since my car has a roof rack (original Hyundai ones) I think the best place to put the antenna on would be to attach it to either front or read rail.
The questions is how to put a cable so it won't be just laying on the roof and moving/bouncing/jumping when the car is moving.

I saw those two plastic strips that goes on the roof along the left and right side (not sure about the right term) - they as on the first picture here: :link: Roof rack mounting

Idea is to remove them, may be trim bottom part a little bit to make a room for antenna cable, pass the cable underneath and put them back. (The cable will come out at rear side and will go to through trunk door inside the car).

Do you think it make sense?
How those "things" attached to the roof?
If I cut bottom part - won't they loose a grip with the roof after that?

Thank you.

I have not pulled one to pass comment on how it clips in but if it were me id neatly run the the cable along the edge of it and secure in place with a few dabs of black sikaflex.
