Title: I30 parts suppliers recommended
Post by: bobbyd on September 22, 2010, 02:11:07
I've recently acquired some new and used parts for future projects, after shopping around and getting an idea on prices i can recommend two suppliers.

New parts try Bunbury Hyundai and Volkswagen
Ph 08 97 914210  fax 08 97 217799  they have some stuff listed on ebay (bought the sports pedals for $23.95 and steering wheel audio controls for $85)

For used parts try Stanvac Wreckers (Lonsdale SA)- they have a few I30's in stock, bought a radio fascia off them for $120  ph 0883820400 fax 0883621044

I have bought some genuine oil filters for my i30 from "Hyspares" near Gosford, NSW. Phone (02) 4325 3966. (www.hyspares.com.au)

Their normal retail price for the late model diesel oil filter is $19.50.

My Feb 2008 model used the thinner one (only $16.75) A$5 or A$6 less than I used to pay at the dealer...looks like a good site...thanks

Good thread.

Should we make a sticky and have others post up their links, contacts etc?

Like a list with a small caption next to it to say if they ship(local or worldwide), reliability etc.

Hi all,
Has anyone bought from hi-motors.com before?

I am thinking of buying some side skirts from one of their body kits and possibly the whole bodykit but i can't find out how much it costs first of all and if they can even ship to Australia second of all.

So yeah, has anyone bought anything from these guys before or do you know someone who has??

Yeah definitely going to steer clear of that spoiler hahaha. Then again a beer holder doesn't sound all that bad.

I contacted them via email anyways and they replied reaaaaally fast. 2 hours after i sent the email and they replied in fluent english that was very informative. They told me the prices and the postage situation. For the side skirts and the rear bumper it would be $406.97 AUD. Which is a pretty awesome price i thought. Obviously that comes un-painted but i work at volkswagen and can get a good deal for the paint so i might only have to pay maybe 900-950 including sea freight for all of it. Which is pretty good but now i just have to decide whether i will go ahead with that or just get the side skirts and then upgrade my sound a little bit. hmm decision, decisions.
