Ok ladies, I'll try and keep this to the point.

1.0 Situation to date
* Son's girlfriend coming over (again!, darn rabbits) with the i20
* seatbelt jammed, her 70 year Old alco father has it sorted(same fella that adjusted her handbrake to have the car roll into a tree). used belt assembly acquired from wrecker off 2 Door, (this one is a 4 door)
* Girl is freaking out as belt is feeding out of top of pillar doubled over and sitting on her like adodgem car strap.
* No lap sash portion
2.0 Actions to date
* Upon arrival, inspect belt installation, and pass out in shock. Regained conciousness and proceed to swear.
"your father has shit for brains. you are not driving this vehicle"
3.0 Actions to be completed
*Remove trims and remove belt assembly, note lower portion of strap not bolted to chassis point. Over sized coach bolt, + 3 washers self tapped into "B:" pillar, barely tight and would immediately tear from vehicle in the slightest accident needless to say likely broken neck.
Disassemble old unit down to major components, clean inspect and reasssemble, check , test, belt now free and serviceable.
Reinstall belt system.

* Just because he's your dad, does not make him qualified or a genius.
* Just because it's another i20 2 door belt system is different and does not mean it will fit you moron.
