Title: Handbrake Button
Post by: panthersteve on January 21, 2019, 08:34:15
Hi

I was wondering if anyone can tell me where I could get a new handbrake button (the little chrome button) that you push in with your thumb to release the handbrake.

My stepdaughter just bought a 2007 petrol I30 and I noticed this button is missing, I then drove my 2010 diesel I30 and mine fell off in my hand.

Have searched ebay with no luck and I believe Hyundai will only supply the entire lever (although I have not checked with them yet)

Any help appreciated

Cheers
Steve

I'd try a wreckers yard?

That pretty much sums it all up. If the old one is intact hot glue should keep it there otherwise what you stated is correct. I've found nothing, operate it without it

If it came off in your hand, you have a template for sourcing a close match from other wrecked cars of various descriptions or even off eBay. Hot glue can complete the fit.
