Hi,

Does anyone have experience with replacing the arm rest on a the 2012 GD Premium 5 Door Hatch?
I have just received a replacement part for the arm rest but have no idea on how to replace it.
The manual doesn't go into that much detail.

I share your lack of experience. Suggest you write to Hyundai and find out what the part is.  :goodjob2:

I take from reading your post you wish to replace the whole unit or is it just a particular part that requires replacing?

If whole unit, do you already have  the same complete arm rest in the car so that needs to be removed?

Or are you upgrading the arm rest?

Or If just a part please say which part so as to be able to focus in.

Also, when say just received, did you buy or is it provided by dealer (as 6/7 years old out of warranty so not warranty claim).
Have you asked supplier if they have fitting instructions?

I was aiming to replace the top of the arm rest as that is what needs to be replaced.
I went to a wreckers and they provided me with a replacement arm rest, unfortunately they were unable to help me fit it as they didn't have anyone who could do that.

Thanks for that.
I will probably go about replacing this in a week or so.
I really appreciate the help.
I have also gone ahead and bought the workshop manual as I have a few other things that do require replacement.

Is your arm rest the sliding one?
