Hello there I’m back again after my last car was scrapped because they couldn’t fix it. Anyway I now have a series 2 which is quite nice but still has a few problems of its own. A  particular bugbear is the Bluetooth system. This works perfectly with my phone and phonebook (iPhone eight) and also streams music no problem. When I get an incoming call it all rings over the system perfectly and all the buttons etc work as they should. However if I receive a text message on my phone I get no  text alert across the audio system. Does anyone know if this is correct or not. Many thanks in advance

Seems like a good idea.

We don't want drivers reading texts while driving.

I haven’t used my Bluetooth in some time but I’m pretty sure that’s normal, if using my Apple CarPlay connection the message will be read out to me.
