G'day folks,

How many Aussies does it take to change a fuse?

Quite a few, it would seem. Neither me, my neighbour, nor two dudes down at the auto shop can work out how these krafty Koreans have managed to secure the 80 amp diesel glow plug fuse into the fuse box. See pic (thanks Lorian) in the glow plug thread below:

Any tips greatly appreciated.

Also, anyone got a good source for purchasing the workshop manual on CD / DVD? Thanks.

Hey

Just had to change main fuse (100 Amps) on the wife's Corolla. The fuse looked much like the one Lorian shows in his post.

It was secured with a M6 bolt through the connectors.! I had to remove the relay box and then remove the back cover to access the bolt.

Maybe it's the same on the i30...

Probably is, 100 amps is too much current for just a press fit fuse.  :Agoodpost:

I didn't go re-look but I think the panel carrying 5 or so of the fuses comes out?

You don't need to take that fuse out to check it though, it has a clear lens on top you can see the fuse through.
