The seat heating on the passenger seat have started to live it's own life.

Today when going home from work the switch was on when starting the car. It's always by default turned off when the car is stopped. Well, it's cold outside now so my passenger enjoyed the heat for 10 minutes, then turned it off. A few minutes later he asked if I had turned it on again because it had started heating again.

Bottom line; I now can't turn it off again. How much do I need to take apart to access the connector on the switch..

I can try to check gds tomorrow. It might be good to take the fuse out, so it won't burn the seat too much.

Try removing the ash tray and see if there's any way in there . ??  :Good_luck:

Should be able to unscrew the flip compartment and pull it out. I did this several times on my FD - pity the photobucket photos are no longer on show.

The panel under the ashtray, holding the 12V sockets, should just pull out. Take the cigarette lighter out, stick your fingers in the holes and pull down and out.

Wonder whether PB have taken a hit since they introduced charges...

Ok, so removed the lower compartment Assembly which contains the switches for seat heating. Swopped right/left switch to find out if the switch is at fault, but no, same error. The heating turns on by itself...  :disapp:

Must be a short somewhere, but as it's 0º outside and I only have an open carport I'll not start tearing the car apart right now. So far the switch for the passenger seat is disconnected, until better weather arrives...  :P
