Hello everyone,

I am a proud owner of a brand new i30 SR in sparkling metal that I picked up last week. I was looking for a car to replace my 09 Lancer for my daily commute. I was originally looking at a base model Hyundai Elantra but wasn't too impressed with it. Looked at a Holden Astra R+ and I walked away totally impressed, then I took a look at the i30 and realised I could stretch the budget a little and go for the SR and here I am!

Going from a CVT to a DCT is like day and night, although the Lancer's CVT was still pretty responsive, it is nothing compared to the i30's transmission. I am super impressed and I haven't even pushed it yet.

I now need to look at finding the time to get the Windows tinted (dealer pricing was a rip-off) and LED light bar installed (regular rural night driving). Anyways, hi
