So I have the treaded issue of not being able to put the manual transmission into gear. It has been tough for a while to get into gear in particular into reverse but not has finally stopped going into gear entirely.

So far I have:
 - blocked out the hydraulic damper
 - replaced master cylinder
 - replaced slave cylinder

Before I go to the next stage of replacing the clutch I just wanted to check the expected distance that the slave cylinder would travel when pushing the clutch fork.

So can anyone tell me how far the slave cylinder pushes the clutch fork on their early model i30 Diesel manual transmission when the pedal is fully depressed (mine is approx 1cm).

Hi mate. I've just checked in on the forum after a lengthy absence and I see no one has replied to your question. I've just been through the entire clutch exercise with my 2008 diesel. Are you still chasing this info? If so I'll measure the clutch slave cylinder shaft movement and get back to you.
