Hey all, been browsing for a help a few times, first time poster...
My dashcam is installed close to the sensor cluster (I think that's what it's called?) under my rear view mirror. Due to a possibly defective cable run to the rear unit which is crashing the main unit when connected, I need to swap the USB input but it's too close to come out and the unit slides off the mount to the right so that won't work either.
It's just a temporary test which I might need to revert within a day, and I'm not planning to replace the full cable yet, just hook it up to the rear unit as a test, so I'd rather not remove the full unit to stick it back on in case I need to do it a few times (and want to keep the front unit functional for various holiday drives).
So I was wondering: can the sensor cover be slipped off to give me enough space to do it? If so where should I apply pressure? I have a small pry tool for laptop use that should help.

I searched for a long time and the closest I found was this video, but it looks different so I'm worried about pulling the wrong edges:
