[Auto stop]

Just to say auto stop never worked since I got the car. My mechanic is investigating this for me but is currently stumped. He changed the clutch and the day after I was driving for about 30 mins and was accelerating on to the motorway when it started juddering like it was trying to stop. I was in the hard shoulder and able to restart but it was as if it was fighting me to move. It then accelerated as normal and I noticed the auto stop warning light was on. This has happened every day I drive mostly on the way out of the housing estate. It judders most of the time then the warning light comes on and it's fine. Sometimes the warning light just comes on without any judders. If I press the deactivate auto stop button it will still happen.
Also when the auto stop warning light is on cruise control no longer works.

Anyone experience this before?
