Dazz checked out them online they only garantee the battery 160,000k or 8 years, those batterys cost a fortune also what becomes of the old battery's?but if you keep it two years should be right. tassie climate would help too. what size is the petrol motor they use?
I thought the Hybrid Prius was for guitar playing vegetarians who drive 10 miles to recycle their rubbish lol
All hand picked by toyota Dazz, why not the 2.5 petrol Mazda 6?
Probably the one thing I don't like is the vertical mount for the fog lights which they did to diferentiate it from the Aurion..Ithink they look wrong (I'll post a picture when I get mine) I am going to photoshop the picture and see if it would look better if I colour code the black platic mount to match the body colour... Also considering Sportivo side skirts (don't think the Sportivo front spoiler will fit though as the Hybrid front bumper is different shape to reduce drag coeficient to .27)P.S. Saw a late model Hyundai Granduer today in white .. quite imposing (looks a bit like a larger maxima)
wow... i saw a taxi hybrid camry... it was plain as! i was saddened... the other ones i have seen must have had the sportivo kit on them or something, the looked much nicer!! i hope yours doesn't look like the taxi i saw!!
Would be a nice trip dave but already paid the airfares for 3 and only got a week to spare unfortunately...Also going to try and keep the KM down to 20,000 a year if I can.. don't want to wear her out too quickly...

Anyway. The batteries would go flat across the Nullarbour and there'd be nowhere to plug her in.

I would have enough to generate the necessary voltage by the time the warranty runs out..
Quote from: Interphase on August 06, 2010, 12:23:33 I would have enough to generate the necessary voltage by the time the warranty runs out.. I used to repair Milk Floats. They had a d.c. direct coupled commutator motor (no clutch), if you went too fast down a long hill, the soldered in segments could "shoot the solder out", or, overgenerate, and attempt to back feed the batteries. Motor then Kaput. Roundsman had automatically sacked himself, & walked home.
bah as if you will own the car in 8 years! nothing to worry about! most normal people pay the car off, then get a new one!
