Title: Fernando's Forever Fascination For Firty's Further Fuel Frugality
Post by: The Gonz on July 01, 2018, 12:26:55
Economy has SO much to do with driving circumstances.
In Adelaide, Firty would do her runs to work and back on a steady 4.1 L/100Km.
Here in Melbourne, it's all over the shop. Take tonight's performance:

I drive out to visit Mum this morning in light traffic, maintained around 3.9 until I hit the CBD and I then ended on 5.4.

On the way home tonight, I couldn't stand looking at the 5.6 and reset once I hit the 80 zone leading out to the Westgate Bridge. I got home on 3.5!

Boy, I wish my peasant grade SX had the trip function so I could compare.

You must try awfully hard to set new lows though, 3.5l/100. Must have been a good tailwind and downhill :faint:
