hi all,

found what looks like an old topic or locked topic, with an i30 with Veloster turbo wheels on it.

i wanted someone to identify the wheels on this car with a valid hyundai part number as i'd love to stick a set on my i30 with STEEL wheels! :D

The local dealer didnt have a clue.......any smart cookies here?

Thanks

Try ALY70844 or just 70844

Just quote that number to my local hyundai spare parts?

Yep, Lube is optional.....

I would stalk ebay and gumtree, You will get them cheaper and in some cases with tyres.

Manufacturer's part number in Craig's link. Your dealer should be able to work from the 70844 or the 529052V300 529052V350 part numbers.

Don't hold your breath waiting to get them from a dealer. Genuine Hyundai alloys cost a fortune new from a dealer. As the others have said. 2nd hand is your best option.

There is a set on Gumtree i saw ages ago.
Advert is still there but its 6 months old. Still might have them, crazier things have happened and they've dropped the price from $1000 to $600 so far.

hi all ... that wheel does look nice on the i30 indeed. I manage to take the bold step as well as to change wheels. kept the same profile though so not to damage any suspension geometries..
I got the A-line (rio) 17 inch wheel. looks great and compliments the car nicely. busy saving up now for airbags.. (just options though) thinking of body kits and wing (back Fin) for the moment with few decals.

Airbags as an after-market option??? Or do you mean airbag suspension?  :undecided:

I think Llewellyn's reference to airbags might be tyres :undecided:

The ride on 18's would be too harsh for my liking..... as would the tyre prices

I recall airbag suspension on busses. The only air I've put into a car other than tyres was Monroe Wiley Armstrong air adjustable shock absorbers! :winker:

I remember those, they only came with one T valve in the kits so unless you custom installed a separate valve for each side the air would transfer from one shock to the other when going around corners :crazy1:

Aha! But I never had that problem. They were always pumped so high, my Commodore looked like a dragster funny car - no slack left for body roll!

I reckon round the corners to quick and she would have rolled like a Funny car as well :D

Must have been what I had in my LC Torana.. When I traded it they called it a death trap (it used to bounce over bumps..) Ironically my next car was an 808 Mazda and it only had cross ply tyres which used to skate around corners!  :sweating:

thank you all for keeping an eye out for a set of rim's for me and it's a shame the ones found so far and located in different states and shipping is a fortune for RIMs. (more than the cost of the RIM's themselves!) so if anyone spots a set in melbourne for sale PLEASE let me know and i'll grab them.

i done the tyre conversion chart and found that 225/40 R18 is pretty close (about 1%) albeit quite a pricey size.

Can't wait for a set of RE003's on them.

Oh and i got quoted over $1000 EACH from my local hyundai dealer.....WOW.
