I saw a very tidy Red 2009 SR Manual Petrol (they didn't come as a diesel) parked on the street today during one of my walks .

It had $5000 ono. I wasn't sure how that compared so i did a search on gumtree. Was surprised to see 50 for sale in Tassie (just on gumtree) some very optimistic prices!

I see that it is parked outside a business premises rather than a home.  If it is within range, it merits a visit to give it the once over. In about 2009 IIRC, the 4 speed autos went through a spate of valve unit failures.

I see Veloster wheels with no caps....

oh and

"Have had a new motor fitted as old one had blown head gasket" though he is selling a high k Hilux and a bike. He has a brown wallet that he likes to leave in the cupholder. Oh and the rego on the Hilux ad does not match the picture.

Before listing 3 motor vehicles he sold a number of items of furniture.

Perhaps a written off vehicle being brought back to life?

Or the classic engine changeover with the wrong fuel rail and the ECU is missing the pressure regulator. A VIN check indicates it's the early type built Apr 2008 and I bet that is why it's going into limp with pressure codes.

That's my theory

Good chance about wrong motor, given our recent exploits Gerard.
The guy is obviously dealing good observation on the Ute Beerman, been registered ?
The i30 has had panel work, shades of a door and bumper show this, if a repairable it was about 3-4 years ago (rego)
128,000km on the clock is low for a 2008 model. Begs the question, why a blown head gasket?
Probably wont come with RWC or Reg
Allow cost in parts and labour $2000 to repair.
End of day, car is worth $6000
Make an offer Gerard.  :happydance:

Basically asking the same question above, mate. Wonder if the low ks cluster came from the donor vehicle.
Also plenty of photos but none under bonnet.

That drivers seat looks well worn, I don't recall my wagon's seat looking that bad when I sold it at 140k. But that could be the better trim in the wagon too.
