Door Handle (internal)
Hey guys, today I tried to open my driver door from the inside to get out but it wasn't working. The door wouldn't open. So after a couple of tries I gave up and got out from the other door.  Now after I came back from work I opened with my key and from the outside it opens fine like usual. When I got home I opened the door from the inside again and it worked. So this seems like some part needs replacing. Has this happened to anyone or what needs replacing. Thanks!

Hey All,
Just a quick review on a recent upgrade/addition to my Late 2012 I30 CRDI Active I30. I spent a lot of time looking for information/videos on headunits and really struggled to find much info. As a disclaimer, I have no link to any of the sellers or products discussed beyond buying them.

The car originally had the basic original blue double din head unit and while the Bluetooth and voice support was present I found it a bit basic. So was after a bit of an upgrade especially as the warranty on the car had expired.

After looking at a whole load of units I went for a I30 specific, Android Oreo, Octocore 4gb RAM head unit. It i...

i30 in the news
"A Golf GTI weighs less but costs more and canít touch the Hyundaiís power, while the Focus ST is comparable on most metrics but struggles to lay its power down. Everything else thatís in the same performance ballpark, like the 308 GTi, Civic Type R and Mini John Cooper Works, are priced well above the i30 N. To call it a performance bargain is a heinous understatement.

Oh, and did we mention that the i30 N carries the same five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty as every other Hyundai Ė and that the company will still honour it even if you take it to the occasional track day? For a performance car, thatís an incredible declaration of confidence."

Glow Plug
Hello al...

I have a 2011 face lift i30 1.6crdi 116.. 47k miles, bought it 10 days ago and only done 40miles in it.. bought it from a dealer ( not Hyundai ) and the first morning it wouldn't start, the car went back and they put glow plugs in it and told me to collect it ( I had to find my own way so I walked the 5 miles ) it drove home quiet and smooth but I went to start it when it had cooled down and the heat light only came on for a second and the car ran like a tractor.... The outside temp was +3 deg.. Is there anything else that could cause the heat lamp to come on for too short a time ? What determines the glow time of the plugs ? Coolant temp or air temp ?

How long should the heat lamp stay on for ? Might it...

Hi. My petrol 2016 i30 calculation of how many kilometres I should get on a full tank is constantly incorrect. When I fill up (I am driving normally in and around town mostly), the trip computer says I have a range of approximately 460 km. I never usually go for more than around 300 km per tank of unleaded fuel before needing to refill. This is a big anomaly. Is this normal? :victory:

If I wanted to intiate a DPF burn what are the conditions I need to give the engine?

How does the engine sense it needs a DPF burn? backpressure? downstream temperature/ pressure?

I've asked a service manager his technical reply was "it' ll  do it when it wants to"

How can I see a burn has taken place without watching my instantaneous fuel consumption or exhaust constantly while i'm hurtling down the road?

I've read service depts can do it via the ECU  in some cars.

Hyundai customer service were a huge disappointment

No wonder  people are scared to buy diesels if the manufacturer cant give straightforward answers and problems with the DPF can be very expensive.
