Hey, I am looking at replacing the gear shifter because mine has become loose and it will spin/turn around whilst driving.

Has anyone had any experience on removing the shifter and how to remove/replace the knob?

Very simple to remove the shift knob, where the vinyl boot meets the plastic surround at the base you need to dig your fingers into the boot and pry it up from underneath.

The boot surround will pop upwards and you can then unwind (anticlockwise) the shift knob

Thanks for this, it was a little bit tight pulling up but once I had one clip out it was fairly easy.
I did manage to just tighten the knob and refit the boot liner and all is good  :goodjob2:
