I want to tidy up my door trim that has several scuffs on it from getting in and out of  the car.. I also want to clean off the build up of grey yuk that sticks to the steering wheel and other panels.

Has anyone found anything better for cleaning.

The honeycomb patter on the door lining makes normal sprays not so effective.

Not sure what will get rid of scuffs/scratches but I always use Meguiars cleaner detailer followed with their protectant.

Wouldn't that release toxic vapours :undecided: especially on hot days where the oils evaporate inside the cabin

I only use a little bit. The one I've got is too cheap to use toxic chemicals!  :D

Hyundai plastics are very fragile... :disapp:

I've provided lifts to some friends and the passenger glovebox plastics have been scratched by handbag and laptop bag zips & buckles!

I've yet to find a way to either hide or repair the scratches...  I've even thought of trying to find/purchase a replacement glovebox.

I've been trying Optimum Protectant Plus lately and can thoroughly recommend it :link: Optimum Protectant Plus 504ml - ZAS

I find it even better than the Meguiars as it cleans and protects in single application with a nicer low sheen look and lasts much longer between applications.

With interior cleaning I always just use a microfiber cloth in super hot water.
Leaves no residue as there are no chemicals to start with.

I'll have to try that Jeff.  :victory:

P.S. I'm guessing you don't carry a wet microfibre cloth around in the car though (they weight a fair bit)  :snigger:

Meguiars did leave a slight oily residue though the Optimum doesn’t and it doesn’t attract dust either and the darker look after application looks good.

With no protectant used your interior doesn’t have the required protection against heat and sunlight/UV but if you don’t keep your cars long the next owner might not notice any fading, I personally use my Optimum protectant on all exterior black plastics as well which keeps them looking like the day I bought them 👍
